Thought if you are free coming Saturday (5 mar) afternoon andinterested in 'musical theatre', you would like to attend the Sound of Music song competition finals at Istana Budaya (Jln Tun Razak).
More interestingly, the two lead actors from the Broadway musical willbe present to give a talk on their experiences in musical theatre.Please pass the info along. Attendance is free! (See attachment) AdelineThe Sound of MusicMarch 1, 2005 "Diary Listing" Following last weekend's heats of The Sound of Music SingingCompetition, the much anticipated Competition Final will now takeplace at Panggung Sari, Istana Budaya at 2 pm on 5 March, 2005! Comewatch 10 finalists compete to be Malaysia's very own Maria, Captainvon Trapp and the von Trapp Family. All welcome. Those attending willalso be treated to a rare talk by seasoned theatre stars Ms JenniferSemrick ("Maria") and Mr Jim Ballard ("Captain von Trapp"), entitled"What it Takes…to Make it in Musical Theatre," in which they willshare rare insights into the exciting, exhausting and exhilaratingworld of world-class musical theatre. The Singing Competition isorganised by Malaysia Airlines, in partnership with Intan BudayaPresentations, in conjunction with the hit Broadway musical's upcomingdebut at Istana Budaya from 12 March to 3 April 2005.
