FIELD TRIP: 2 COMPULSORY, 1 OPTIONAL
Hi guys,
Thank you for blogging such good ideas. And the discussions we had were absolutely golden. I’m so happy we're getting our ball(s) rolling!
Now for a side note: I got newsletter from TAS and there's a few things that I find useful for research purposes. As Arif mentioned to me before our session the other day, we need to see more stage plays. So I would like to make it compulsory for us to check the first item out:
Here’s the site:
http://www.theactorsstudio.com.my/shows.phtml#bangsar
ITEM 1
======
TAS Theatre-In-Progress 'My Indon Maid' The Actors Studio is launching another aspect of training of the performing arts. Theatre-In-Progress will see Mark Beau's 'MY INDON MAID' be performed by Farah Ashikin & Mohd Sobri Anuar. Discussions & Q&A will take place after the show. High school, University students as well as theatre lovers are welcomed. Admission is FREE. Date: 10-11 March 2005 @ 8.30pm Price: FREE
These are on Thursday and Friday. We can go for only 1 day pun cukup I propose we go on a Thursday because we Admins ad directors have meeting on Friday. I repeat: THIS IS COMPULSORY: pls come and learn. This is a theatre in progress!!! We are theatre in progress too
ITEM 2:
and there would be a donation screening of Amir Muhammad’s films, titles includes: THE BIG DURIAN (Ghafir is in this one! known to won numerous awards and a very 'Malaysian' story), TOKYO'S MAGIC HOUR and THE YEAR OF LIVING VICARIOUSLY another of his award winning films in festivals like in Rotterdam (I went to Berlin with the editor and sound designer. they told me it's worth watching!) the entrance fee is donation-based of minimum RM 10 each film I think. It is on the 13th march 6.30pm (the big durian) and 8pm (the other two). This could be really interesting to study for our story research that we will be doing.
Now the big durian is compulsory, the latter 2 is optional.
So anyone interested?
Pls let me know ASAP.
Thank you for your co-operation and let's keeps the spirits up.

Okay after talking to sums, ill make a deal with u guys:
If you all can make it for ALL the written events (the theatre in progress and the 3 films) which means we’re making all of them compulsory, then is it considered as you session for the week. Which means Saturday sessions is cancelled for the week. No need to come to Sspace
So ALL events above are COMPULSORY. This means I will need your attendance before hand. By Wednesday perhaps?
